[ Session Name ] Object and Digital Science [ Primary Space ] Web Literacy [ Secondary Space ] Youth Zone

[ Submitter's Name ] Rufus Chakravarthy Sharma

What will happen in your session?

Information and communications technology is driving many of the changes in science, so it's an exciting time to combine the study of computer science with any of the emerging or traditional areas of science. Science also increasingly relies on computing in collecting, storing and analyzing large volumes of data such as computationally intensive simulations of new physical phenomena. It develops scientific thinking skills, including critical analysis and problem-solving ability, and adds computational and complex IT skills, maximizing opportunities for discoveries related to information technology and science. The Session gives the overview about the Object and Digital Science and how it can co-emerge together.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Will be presenting about some very exciting areas where science and computer science can co-exists or where they can be fusioned to give extraordinary outcomes like artificial intelligence, bio-printing (3D-printing human tissue), bioinformatics and biocomputing, cryptography, robotics, geodynamics, meteorology, environmental and 3-D modelling, biomedical computing, and any field where scientific data management (storage, analysis, manipulation and presentation).

Audience will understand that science and digital science can do wonders if used, understood and coupled correctly. This will lay a path to many to try their innovations and discoveries.

Thanks very much for your submission Rufus, but unfortunately we feel that it doesn't quite meet the goals of the Web Literacy space at this year's Festival.
