What will happen in your session?
Participants at this session will have the opportunity to compile and annotate publications in different domains of neuroscience, assembling them into different modules covering specialized topics (e.g. cellular neurobiology, neuroimaging, optogenetics, etc.). The primary activity of the session will be to search PubMed and other biomedical archives to identify potential candidate papers that have openly available data sets for analysis. If participants already have a paper in mind and want to focus on coding the analysis described, that can also be worked on for the session.
What is the goal or outcome of your session?
The minimal goal of the session is to assemble at least enough papers (ideally five or more) that would be useful for anyone trying to make a graduate course/seminar on the neuroscience sub-domain of interest to a group. In addition, for papers and data sets selected early in the session, making a re-usable script or notebook for the paper's analysis is also a goal of this session.
If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
As long as each sub-group has access to at least one computer and internet access, other materials should not be necessary.
