Open Rights Group has made a website called blocked.org.uk. It checks whether a website is blocked on every major UK broadband and mobile ISP. You can then report incorrect blocks to the ISPs.
We’ll talk about what the problem is with website blocking, demo the site, and give people time to use it. What is the goal or outcome of your session?
By the end of the session, participants will:
Understand the issues in website filtering and blocking. Know how to check if a website is blocked. Have reported some incorrect blocks to ISPs. Possibly be able to help us get full access to more TLD maps, add a probe to monitor a specific blocking system they have access to, help us monitor copyright or other court order blocks in their country (assuming it is safe to do so). If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.
All we would need is a projector. Time needed
less than 60 mins

Excited to see ORG with a proposal down for Mozfest. I'm commenting so as to not lose track but also to be a cheerleader for an organisation that does so much for digital rights and the open web here in the UK. Fingers crossed, Jim.
Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.
Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.
Another session for the Open Policy + Advocacy space. @bunnybooboo and I have appropriately back-channeled!
