What will happen in your session?

We'll be analyzing the MozFest twitter unlock interesting insights. Where are people coming from? What are people doing? How are they feeling?

This demonstration and workshop will demonstrate how natural language processing and social media analysis can be used to better understand the event as it's happening.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

To develop interest and understanding around NLP in social media. Having an interesting and relevant application makes it an engaging way to get people more involved in these topics.

There are some other ideas that are important to consider. In understanding and communicating this type of analysis, how can we make sure that the opinions of the majority and minority are balanced? Can we share large scale statistics while still keeping personal opinions and ideas in the mix?
