[ Session Name ] Fractal Futures of the Internet [ Primary Space ] Decentralization [ Secondary Space ] Open Innovation

[ Submitter's Name ] Miriam Avery [ Submitter's Affiliated Organisation ] Mozilla

What will happen in your session?

Participants will play a game imagining the future of the Internet over the next 20 years. The beginning is the present day. The ending is a "healthy internet." What happens in the middle is up to participants. Through lightly structured play they'll tell stories of people interacting with new interfaces. They'll tell stories of companies interacting with people through new business models. And all the while society will be changing, introducing global and local wildcard events. Mozilla Emerging Technologies will present visions and provocations for participants to adapt, localize, extend, or challenge from their own perspectives.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

1) Socialize Mozilla Emerging Technology visions and gameful approaches with the wider Mozfest community. 2) Gather global input on future evolution of those visions and approaches. 3) Built a one-time collaborative map of the future internets, dark, light, and somewhere in the middle.
4) Connect with natural futures thinkings in the Mozilla community

If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.

A display screen would be ideal.

Other materials will be brought by the team.

Time needed

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.

Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.
