What will happen in your session?

We will share our program best practices for integrating web literacy education through a variety of project based learning models. We will then open up the discussion for participants to share and exchange best practices for integrating web literacy into engaging program models for students. We will then share those collaborative best practices with Moz Fest attendees.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Our goal is to demonstrate the value of integrating web literacy skills as a foundation for project based learning models. We want to support the exchange of best practices between learning networks in order to empower students to gain the most out of access to the internet.

Hi @lesleyetherly, Thanks for your proposal. Can you let us know if you are able to attend without a travel stipend, or is the stipend absolutely required for you to come to Mozfest? Thank you! Could you also give us a little more detail about how hands on the session will be and the sort of activity that participants could expect from the session?

Hi, I sent an email reply back on August 7th, I'm pasting here to confirm receipt.

I'd definitely need a travel stipend to attend. We'd be using a web literacy skills curriculum flash card deck that we've created to help us to brainstorm and develop our project based curriculum. We'd present and the give to participants to sort and brainstorm how to incorporate the skills into their own program models. Those resulting ideas will be shared and available for anyone to use in programming development.

Hello @lesleyetherly - unfortunately we will not be able to accept your session at this year's festival. We had many excellent submissions and simply do not have enough travel stipends available to accommodate everyone. Thanks for your understanding and for submitting your proposal.
