What will happen in your session?

The aim of this session is to take people who have previously used the programming language R, but want to extend their skill set to include using R for predictive analytics and data science. This session will be the first part in what will become and online, open source R course. Participants will get hands on experience coding in R and applying different data science algorithms including, PCA, LDA, and random forests. We will learn how to clean, visualize, and model data using packages from the tidyverse (http://tidyverse.org/) in R.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

By the end of the session participants should have an understanding of basic data manipulation and visualization in R. They will also have a thorough understanding of at least one algorithm for predictive analytics. Continuation of the course with more algorithms will be available online.

Hello @pagepiccinini - while a very interesting session, we will unfortunately not be able to accept it at this year's festival. We felt that the contents were quite advanced and we gearing the space up for a more beginner friendly feel. Thank you for your understanding and the time you took to submit.
