What will happen in your session?

We will create a space where beginners and pros in Diversity and Inclusion can come ask the un-googleable questions about D & I. You know how the say, teaching someone else strengthens your knowledge? Well having D & I pros will allow them to flex there knowledge to help beginners or even discuss across different backgrounds solutions to problems someone else has solved. Beginners will have the space to anonymously ask all the embarrassing questions.

We will start off the workshop with defining the rooms definition of D & I so, that we have a grasp of what we are inquiring about.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

My goal is to provide an open space for people to dig into this buzzing hot and confusing topic of Diversity and Inclusion. With Mozilla being an international organization, I'm sure this will be an insightful and forward conversation.

Anyone that works in the Diversity and Inclusion space know that any new perspective is insight that can help you do your job. However, this is the type of field that is molded by society, in a physically, emotional, and mental manner.

If your session requires additional materials or electronic equipment, please outline your needs.

I will need a projector for the powerpoint. If I could be supplied post-it notes/markers that would be great. If not, I can get my own.

Time needed

60 mins

Unfortunately we didn't think this session was quite right for the Digital Inclusion space this year. I'm removing the milestone to allow other spaces to consider your proposal.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a session to MozFest. Due to the high level of submissions, we’re unable to accept all proposals and unfortunately, your session was not part of the final group.

Thank you for taking the time to submit and we will follow up on email very soon.
