What will happen in your session?

We will give a demo of our Threatened Voices database and teach participants how to use our data and visualization tools for research and activism. The database, which will have its soft launch just before MozFest, contains several hundred case files on activists and independent media workers who have been targeted with legal, physical or technical threats due to their work online. Our suite of tools will allow any user to search, analyze and produce simple visualizations of data in the set to support research or activism on free speech issues.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

Our goal is to introduce the Mozilla community to Threatened Voices and teach new users how they can utilize and benefit from the data in their own work.

Unfortunately we didn't think this session was quite right for the Digital Inclusion space this year. I'm removing the milestone to allow other spaces to consider your proposal.

Hi @Saallen, I was wondering where I could update the facilitator's names and session descriptions so that it's reflected across the program? Is Guidebook the right place to do it since it was mentioned on our call? Thank you.
