What will happen in your session?

We'll begin with an exercise designed to get people thinking about their ideas by giving their name and 1 thing they would change about the world and why.

From there I'll lead a freewriting session with 3 themes and 3 different creative formats/genres. I will lead with a creative format/genre and the participants will be encouraged to choose 1 of the 3 themes to pair with that creative format/genre.

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

The goal is to encourage people in their freewriting while also providing an engaging workshop that allows them to sample 3 different creative formats and create a piece for each in correlation to the theme they choose, to think of why they chose the pairs they did, and gain confidence in both themselves and the creative process.

Only pens and paper are required, however I'd like to use this part of the form to thank you as last year's MozFest I helped Shwetal Shah in her OpenInnovation session writing and performing an open source poem based on the participants problems/solutions, and would love to return this time running my own session.
