What will happen in your session?

The health of the Internet matters, the health of our planet matters, the heath of our democracies matter, young people need to be engaged in decisions about their future, yet the experts appear to disagree on what is to be done.

Internet access means more people than ever have access to the information they need to make important decisions, but true engagement appears to be lower than ever. Maybe there is just too much information, too much disagreement, too many decisions to be made.

If we didn't remove ourselves from decisions about climate change, about internet privacy, about so many matters, how would we cope? Would our emotions take over, would we sob, or scream, or fight, or hide?

What is the goal or outcome of your session?

What if we view our world through a different lens? In this session we will meet artists and student who have collaborated to create pieces which expose fears and dreams of the future of the Internet.

Explore how emotions, prejudices, experience and in-experience shape our collective vision of the Health of the Internet.

This will be enabled through discussion both of the works created during the accompanying MozFest Fringe Event at Exeter University and the process by which the works were created.
