Talk Information:

• Title Get Started with modern web

• Brief description about the content to be covered Going to cover how to get started with Node.js, express.js, react.js and MongoDB.

I will talk about what Node.js is and show a demonstration of Javascript in browser and Javascript on Node.js. I will talk about express.js, react.js, show some demonstration of react.js reusable component and explain the concept of virtual DOM manipulation in react.js. I will talk about MongoDB and the difference between SQL and NoSQL databases. And going to share some of the best resources I found online to learn the technologies in my experience.

• Prerequisites & reading material (Distributed before the session) No prerequisites

• Time required for the talk 15-20 minutes

• Platforms that you may use PowerPoint 2019, VS Code. I would like to use my own laptop while presenting the slides.

Thanks for this @Rokibul630! Loved the efforts you put into your slides! Very happy to approve this but before that, I'd like you to make these changes:

• Attach couple of other social profiles, Twitter atleast. This is important for future reference
• In your slides, the pages that have black bg, kindly use this logo instead.
• Going through your slides, I feel it'd be tough if you're going to show demos as well in 20 mins, since you're submitting for a lightning talk, I'd suggest to check that you don't outrun the time limit.
• Keep a shorter talk title (Not necessary, if you can't come up with a shorter one)

Also, please make sure you add correct labels from next time, for this, I am adding! Let me know once you've made these changes! :sparkles:

Hi @Rokibul630! Congrats on delivering your first talk! :tada: I liked that you tried to touch on almost everything in your talk! Can we expect individual talks on each of the topics that you talked about? Also, I'd like to know how it went on your end, and the best way to do that is by providing a Post Event report! It can be in the form of a blog, or simply bullet-points about

• What did you expect? (How did you feel when you knew that you were going to deliver a talk)
• How did it go? (Expectation vs Reality)
• What were the ups? (things that you planned and went as you thought or better!)
• What were the downs (things that did not go very well or can be improved)
• What we can improve? (What we on our end can improve as organizers)

Well, I can do individual talks on each of the topics. Perhaps, doing individual talks will be easier to make the audience understand the topic and get the maximum learning outcome.

When I got to know that I was going to deliver a talk, heart started beating very faster, My hands started shaking and sweating, I thought I would not be able to deliver it😅. Thank you for the great public speaking opportunity. My first talk has encouraged me so much and taught me how to get control over nervousness! Before the talk, I thought only a few of the audience would be interested in web development. But when I asked how many of them were interested in web development, almost everyone raised their hands. Everything went well except for my slides! the embedded videoes did not start properly, and I had to do those manually. I should have demonstrated how single-page web apps work, how react.js can help us building single-page web apps and it would help make them understand react.js easily. At the end of the talk, I shared a link to online resources for learning the technologies and I got 7 unique visitors that day on the git repository, and one fork. It highlights my talk was not that unsuccessful though😅.

Happens to all of us, speak often, be it in class or with your friends, that's a great way to overcome this overtime! :100:

Not everything will go as planned, that is the trade off, some go better some go not so good! But we get to learn from everything! Take this as a positive start and many more to come! :sparkles:
