If you don't have one of the base stations connected crashes at start (with threejs Vive examples happens too) If you lose the headset tracking, crashes too (with A-painter & threejs Vive examples happens too)
If you don't think one of them are the problem, try to test https://threejs.org/examples/?q=vive#webvr_vive when Puzzle Rain fails because are using the same VREffect/VRControls.
Enabling Chromium logging doesn't seem to turn up anything. Still investigating…
