I found out what was happening. I didn't set "fullscreen" in my video settings (I'm using sodium) to off. Upon turning off fullscreen in video settings it works perfectly as intended.
disabling Xbox Game Bar capturing/recording fixed the lag issues I had.
...I stand corrected. Nvidia Shadowplay instant replay still hates borderless gaming...
I previously had a problem which made me stop using this program but I found out the issue was with Nvidia ShadowPlay and disabling Xbox Game Bar capturing/recording fixed the lag issues I had.
However, I came back to using this program today and it's not working at all. When I select my instance of Minecraft and click "Go Borderless!" I go back to Minecraft and it's just a bigger window that doesn't even cover my whole screen, and when I alt+tab or press the windows key, Minecraft will minimize into the taskbar icon.
