Same result, Lion 10.7.2, iPhone 3GS, iOS 5, Airmac 0.4. Phone recognizes Mac,
press play, phone says movie is now playing on Mac, nothing happens on the Mac.

Same here. Have Apple changed port from 7000?

Same here, and saddened as there really isn't anything else out there.

There is
I bought airserver 3 with ios5/lion support
And for a free solution u can download latest beta of xmbc (only the beta has
it) and enable airplay content in system/ network
The 2nd solution just needs xbmc running but its no problem if u have your mac
in your living room
You can launch with apple remote and then airplay
Both of these airplay video/images and combination but not games
In games only the sound is transferred to the mac

Actually, it's a small fix - Basically, if you have Xcode, you can download the
source & fix it yourself.
Just change [uri absoluteString] to [uri relativeString] in the code.
Otherwise, I've uploaded the app with the fix here:

Thanks, working! One thing I noticed is that videos in Videos, IMDb or YouTube
apps are not airplay enabled, however the videos in camera roll are good to go.
If I remember right with iOS 4 these apps were ok with Airmac and Airplay.

This fix did nothing for me. I still have no connection between my ipad and
my macbook.

I have a iMac running 10.7.2 and I have a iPhone 4s running iOS 5.0 and it
doesn't work even with the updated app (only thing I managed to get to work is
the AirPlay in the Photo App). On the iPhone it doesn't even recognize the
iMac when i play the video or music. I also have an iPad thats running iOS
4.3.3 and the recognizes the iMac but nothing plays when I push play. I tried
the same app on my MacBook Pro running 10.6.8 and it works perfectly with iPad
iOS 4.3.3 but not the iPhone 4s iOS 5.0. I would like to thank you for all
your hard work and for making my mac more awesome. I hope this will also be an
easy fix

For me at least, this fix did the trick. I have Lion Server 10.7.2 running and
iphone 4s with IOS 5.0.1. Both photos and videos work for me

Hi there, as an update - the fix listed in comment 9 worked for me! OS X Lion
10.7.2 and iOS 5.0.1, both photos and videos worked. Thanks!

videos and photos also wrks for me running 10.7.2, iPhone 4s 5.0,5.0.1...the
only thing is when i play a video a still image of the video opens like a photo
as well and i have to close it to watch the video...any one having same issue??
It would be cool if there was audio support so your mac fully acts like an
airport express with video

As an update to my last comment. I have found that displaying photo's is
working. I had not detected this as I am most interested in playing music. That
is not working.

Not being a coder, but having xCode, can someone help me make the change? Do I
need to find every instance of absoluteString and replace it with
relativeString? In every file or just one?
Thanks.

I have Lion 10.7.3 (latest), and only the Photo's app works. I am testing with
an iPhone 4s and iOS 5.0.1. Video apps including including iTunes, YouTube,
etc. do not show my Mac as a destination. The built-in Music app, and third
party music apps, do not show my Mac as a destination either. I have applied
Jon's patch, and that made the Photo's app work, but the Video and Music apps
still do not work.
Have not seen a response since January 18th, would love some help...

I've downloaded the source, edited it and published it on GitHub at
https://github.com/2SquaredStudios/Airmac. It should work with iOS 5, and all
quirks I was aware of have been fixed.

I cloned jamesrtclarke's repository and built the application, but no luck. I'm
running it on my laptop, and when I fire up iTunes on a desktop my laptop
doesn't show up in the list of available remote speakers :(
