What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install
2. set as a screen saver
3. wait for time alloted

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
SS doesn't launch at all, just a 5ms screen flicker. normal 'run' operation
works.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
win_2.7b29, Win7 Pro x64

Please provide any additional information below.

fails as a screen saver w/ laptop, docking station, and multiple monitors. I
tried all 3 options and none of them worked. 2x Dell WS P2211Ht? @ 1080px32bpp
using Dells Advanced Dock, the one w/ parallel and serial connections, and the
newer version to boot (the older version had issues with supporting 2x1080p
native monitors). Win7 Pro x64.

Thanks for the bug report. Can you try this version:
http://electricsheep.org/privbeta866b/electricsheep-2.7b31.exe and let us know
what happens?

Getting Better! I can do all the multi-monitor variations. A big
however...The sheep don't like Aero. First run of the SS, it runs terrible,
unuseable. After the first run, it kills Aero and each subsequent run,
everythign runs smoothly. Turn Aero back on, performance is back at 0 and the
SS kills Aero again.

With that said, there are other quirks I am noticing. The settings don't like
to save/apply if the native Screen Saver Settings is left open, well, that's
what appears to happen with the display settings anyhow.

Using a single screen only plays on the same screen regardless of screen
choice. It also has a problem determining my primary screen, but that may have
more to do with how you determine primary as opposed to a real bug. In single
screen mode, Aero does NOT get blown away, but then again, it always plays on
my secondary monitor.

V-Sync doesn't make a difference and neither do the various interpolation
options.

Can you please make sure your graphics drivers are all up to date?

Can you explain exactly what your setup is - how many graphics cards, and what
monitors are connected to them?

Under normal circumstances it should be fine with Aero.

OK, attached is my dxdiag file. I'll check on my driver versions in a little
bit.

updating the drivers has no effect, I still have the same response. What
happens is as soon as it goes into the SS, one darkened frame is shown on one
monitor with the other blank, then it switches, back and forth, at about 2hz.
there is no apparent animation, although I am sure there is, just one frame at
a time. I also attached the latest dxdiag.

NP, I'll keep my eye out too and play around with the settings. When I come
across a version without any issues, I'll be sure to make a mention of it.
Keep up the good work guys!

I just updated to v2.7b33 and are experiencing the same issues that was
described at the top of this thread. Everything was working fine until the
update.

Dell Latitude E4300 in a dock with an external monitor tied to it. Windows 7,
newest drivers, laptop is primary monitor, external monitor is running at a
higher resolution.

When I bring up SS settings and hit preview button, both screens go dark,
external monitor comes back right away with current contents then goes dark,
laptop comes back with current contents then goes dark but the SS starts to
display on both just fine. Cloned and Independent seem to work as designed.

When I wait for SS to kick in during normal operations, it does the flickering
indicated at top of thread. I can see that both are displaying different sheep
(if independent is turned on) or they are playing the same sheep (cloned) BUT,
it appears to alternately flash between both monitors with successive frames
from the sheep they are playing.

I had this problem and it turned out to be a windows issue. If you have a
wireless mouse, it's possible that no screen savers will work for out at all
because the system never becomes idle. check this page for a resolution:
