First of all, I've been considering this. Especially worldEdit's idea of the whole //pos1, //pos2 then do whatever. Maybe I'll have a wand, but I don't want to copy worldEdit's style anymore than the pos commands. I mean, worldEdit is a great tool and I think it's great for building. Not everyone wants to install another mod. Also, there's no need for a custom extension, .nbt is simple and effective.
What about a concept API I am sure world edit Team wouldn't mind a Mod supported ID Table for properly inserting modded Schematics. Trust when I say they would love a mod that supports their mod in this particular catagory. Also you might be able to add further support to schemticas creator Lunistras. (Pretty sure I spelt his name wrong.)
Most devs; (Not all) are pretty decent.
Alright I can tell this is going to be an awesome mod still the way the commands are written its a bit confusing opposed to its only other counterpart worldEdit. Instead of adding commands why not intergrate the command by having users use world it but use Testorinos Assets. For example in world edit you type //wand "Select an area using provided wand" //Schematic Save TestSchem1.scm in your case why not create a custom extension ... like .tst X Y Z coordinates for some people are going to be too difficult.
