The big 2.0 PR #30

This is the "Big PR", that converges all the 2.0 stuff to main.

Most of the stuff is done, so I think a merge is OK. The snippets cog was removed for now since there are some implementation issues (and I'm too dumb to work them out).

After it is merged we can begin a beta period, or something.
