Usually when the game exits to home menu while loading, it runs out of memory. Maybe the generated log files can give some insight here?
I don't have Final Fight LNS 2.0 available to me right now. If you're able to run the game on a pc or other platform, with memory stats enabled in the game itself. It should give a good indication about the memory requirements.

To be honest, i don't think Final Fight LNS 2.0 would be able to run on a 3ds. The .paks i've been able to find are huge. Over 1 GB in size, which if optimized would already drive the 3ds to it's limits memory wise. Unfortunately the versions i've been able to find are far from optimized. Requiring way more memory the 3ds has available.
Also, I'm not sure about LNS 2.0, but at least 3.0 uses a customized version of openbor. Running it on regular openbor will cause issues since it's missing features required by the .pak.
The original openbor games, on which LNS expanded, do run properly on my end.
For now the best advise i'm able to give it to try the original .paks. They have less content, but the author Pierwolf did a great job on his projects.
I recommend trying Final Fight Gold
or the continued and approved Super Final Fight GOLD

I would say what a great update of this 0.05 version for 3ds. So far quite a few bor game run perfect. Really nice job MrHuu! However there occurs a sudden jumping out of Final Fight LNS 2.0 while the title loading processed at 39%... It'll be much appreciated if the problem could be fixed in your next release due to the high quality of this bor game.
