Google satellite view with toggleable labels in dark mode #208

In dark mode right now, it is hard to see actual trails and streets in satellite view because the Google satellite label feature draws a thick gray line over the actual trails and roads. For example, the dark gray line labels on trails makes it nearly impossible to see if a pedestrian bridge exists on a trail.

Can you somehow make it possible to toggle the satellite labels?

In normal desktop Google Maps in satellite mode, removing labels is possible by first clicking the "hamburger" icon in the top left and then selecting "labels on". Here is a screenshot: https://i.imgur.com/AEcMUbj.png

I'll investigate this. I believe the Google Maps API should have functionality to allow for this.

Would you want to switch it on the fly, or would a setting to change it "permanently" be more desirable?

Also please use the feature request templates in the future :)

Thanks for the reply. Personally I would leave it permanently disabled with a setting, but either approach would be fine.
