I originally suggested this a long time ago (back in 2019), it was a good idea, but people forgot about it. Here it is as an actual GitHub issue, so it won't be forgotten about as easily.
Basically, when a gate has low power (less than 1%). The chevrons should flicker, like the beta gate did in Solitudes (S1 E18). The DHD could also have this effect with it's pressed buttons. It's a simple suggestion, but it could reduce the amount of times you see "Stargate doesn't have enough power" when dialing.
