Galactic Chart: tracked system not highlighted on chart unless exit and return to chart #83

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Galactic Chart
2. Type in a system (X) name to search for in search box
3. Click track
4. Notice system (X) is tracked and distance is displayed
5. But system is not highlighted
6. Click close to return to commander pad
7. Click Galactic Chart to return
8. You'll see the tracked system (X) highlighted in blue with white border

Now if you repeat the process with another system (Y), the previously tracked
system (X) will be highlighted while the display shows the new system's (Y)
distance and the word (tracked).

9. Type in system Y's name and click track
10. But the previous system (X) is still highlighted.
11. You'll see system (Y), 23 parsec .. (Tracked)
12. This gets updated when you close and re-enter Galactic Chart

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would like for the tracked system to be immediately highlighted after
search+track button.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
DN 1.5
Droidx

Please provide any additional information below.

Exiting and returning to the galactic chart is only a workaround. It's like
the screen is not redrawn after hitting the track button.

1. That is similar to issue 84 where clicking around on the galactic chart
gives the system name and distance, but not a highlight showing which system
you clicked.

But exit and return, and you can see the highlight.

2. That is also similar to issue 82 where the short range chart did not update.
But exit and return and you can see the highlight.

At that point ja'pori is tracked but nor highlighted. So I exit and return to
see the tracking highlight. After that I go on to select vagra. I end up at a
point with vagra tracked, but ja'pori highlighted!

After I click track, this next pic shows the problem of having ja'pori
highlighted but vagra tracked. When I exit and return to GC, all is well.

Refer to the very first pic to see that vagra is "south" of the current
location while Ja-pori is "north".

This should be fixed. The short range and galactic chart were refactored.
Galactic chart has pinch / zoom capabilities.
