regarding performance, I still haven't found a way to get reliable performance data....
I also get lower fps in UrbanTerror on my nvidia than on my intel.. but the game clearly runs much smooter on the nvidia card.. so for now I just ignore the fps...
I don t take the fps in account as soon as you tell me that games run smoother. But after reboot it does not work anymore.

FWIW, I get around 30fps with the intel gpu in Alien Arena and over 50fps with the nvidia.
ok thanks for the info
Anyone has tried reading 1080p mkv file with optirun? For me it doesn't work better than with the Intel card. That means it freezes.
I can play 1080p mkv files just fine with either the Intel card or the nvidia card (I'm using Totem to play it in Ubuntu 11.04 unity). Could there be a problem with the file you are trying to play?
don't know. Which laptop are you running ?
Hi,
I've succedeed in installing Bumblebee. It starts fine. When I run glxgears I get this figures :
{steelers}: ~ $ glxgears Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0". Xlib: extension "NV-GLX" missing on display ":0". 2261 frames in 5.0 seconds = 449.293 FPS 2200 frames in 5.0 seconds = 438.489 FPS 2220 frames in 5.0 seconds = 441.066 FPS 2184 frames in 5.0 seconds = 434.731 FPS
With optirun64 :
{steelers}: ~ $optirun64 glxgears 1058 frames in 5.0 seconds = 211.402 FPS 1055 frames in 5.0 seconds = 210.872 FPS 1050 frames in 5.0 seconds = 209.857 FPS
It seems that with the Nvidia card runs with lower performances.
Also I don't understand why a glxinfo without optirun shows me a Nvidia device instead of an Intel one ? With optirun64 glxinfo it shows me a VirtualGL device.
Am I doing something wrong ?
