Hi..
It seems like you haven't fetched the entire project, but just the script.. try doing:
git clone git@github.com:MrMEEE/bumblebee.git
cd bumblebee
sudo ./install.sh
Hi Martin,
I got an error message when trying to run the above git command:
Initialized empty Git repository in /home/chuong/projects/bumblebee/.git/ The authenticity of host 'github.com (207.97.227.239)' can't be established. Chuong
Thanks.
I have this problem, I have sent the bugreport via e-mail. bumblebee-bugreport-11.5.2011.tar.gz
LadyChloe: this isn't the same problem..
closing this and cloning into:
https://github.com/MrMEEE/bumblebee/issues/9
I have already written an update to this issue..
Sounds like a great idea you have, but I can't get it to work. I am running a lenovo b560. If I type:
gary@gary-Lenovo-B560:~$ optirun64 firefox [VGL] ERROR: Could not open display :1.
install shell looks like:
gary@gary-Lenovo-B560:~$ sudo '/home/gary/Downloads/MrMEEE-bumblebee-fea15c6/install.sh' [sudo] password for gary: Welcome to the bumblebee installation v.1.1.2 Licensed under BEER-WARE License and GPL
This will enable you to utilize both your Intel and nVidia card
Please note that this script will only work with 64-bit Debian Based machines and has only been tested on Ubuntu Natty 11.04 but should work on others as well from version v1.1 support for 32-bit Ubuntu has been added I will add support for RPM-based distributions later.. or somebody else might... Remember... This is OpenSource :D
THIS SCRIPT MUST BE RUN WITH SUDO
Are you sure you want to proceed?? (Y/N)

Setting up Enviroment variables
The Image Transport is how the images are transferred from the nVidia card to the Intel card, people has different experiences of performance, but just select the default if you are in doubt.
I recently found out that yuv and jpeg both has some lagging this is only noticable in fast moving games, such as 1st person shooters and for me, its only good enough with xv, even though xv sets down performance a little bit.
1) YUV 2) JPEG 3) PROXY 4) XV (default) 5) RGB

64-bit system detected - Configuring
Ok... Installation complete...
Now you need to make sure that the command "vglclient -gl" is run after your Desktop Enviroment is started
In KDE this is done by this script.. Thanks to Peter Liedler..
In GNOME this is done by placing a shortcut in ~/.config/autostart/ or using the Adminstration->Sessions GUI
After that you should be able to start applications with "optirun32" or "optirun64 "
optirun32 can be used for legacy 32-bit applications and Wine Games.. Everything else should work on optirun64
But... if one doesn't work... try the other
Good luck... MrMEEE / Martin Juhl
