Bumblebee doesn't work anymore #407

Hello, I installed Bumblebee manually some time ago and it worked flawlessly. I ran native linux games as well as steam games through wine without any issues. Today I added the bumblebee ppa to my sources list, and updated the system. First, I add to manually add the scripts to enable and disable the card (my laptop is an Asus u43jc) because the scripts that were added through the automatic installation were empty files. After I added the scripts, whenever I lauch a game through the terminal, it says that bumblebee enabled the nvidia card successfully, but then I get this error:

X_ChangeProperty: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 0x0

I tried launching Amnesia several times, and it eventually worked, but after quitting the game and trying to launch another one, it didn't work anymore.

I forgot to mention that my system is a fully up to date Natty install.

Does simple things like glxgears work with optirun???

What games are you trying to run besides Amnesia??

Hello,

well, it seems to have been a false alarm. I turned my computer off, went to sleep, and tried launching steam games after waking up, and just played some missions in Left4dead. The error messages don't appear anymore. I tried launching glxgears, amnesia etc, and everything just seems to work. I don't know why it works now, since I didn't do or change anything.

Rebooting is more powerful than everyone think !

There was probably a problem with the card that has been solved by rebooting.

Ok.. great..

Since I use GNU/Linux I don't think about rebooting to solve issues anymore :)
