Please try the new version here : https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee.
Made cleanup and installation from git. Installer didn't ask me to chose configuration (not like in installation from apt-get). Rebooted. Started up. $ optirun /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glblur -window -fps fps 49-50 with cpu load 50% $ /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glblur -window -fps : fps 40 with cpu load 60%
So, seems that it is working! Thank you.
Question. again i'm novice. Can i do the same installation via apt in order to get further updates?
Yes. Read the README file ;)
i've read README and made section for ubuntu users: from "sudo bumblebee-uninstall" till "sudo apt-get install bumblebee". in reconfiguration menus i've chosen same laptop and ubuntu. Rebooted. Started up. Testing:
$ optirun /usr/lib/xscreensaver/glblur -window -fps
I've made mistake with README. (Was looking at bookmared https://github.com/MrMEEE/bumblebee/blob/master/README, while You pointed me on https://github.com/Bumblebee-Project/Bumblebee/blob/master/README). Sory for false alarm.. Everything is woking!
Thank you again and very much.
Nice you found our error alone.
Hi
i'm novice, so can't describe exactly. Tried to install bumblebee from repositories. Then configured it via menus. Rebooted. System hangs without showing me login screen. Ctrl+Alt+Fx (and mouse) not responding. Tried to uninstall like described with "bumblebee-uninstall", got "command not found".
"sudo apt-get purge bumblebee" while in safe boot helped.
Bugreported via email.
Thanks in advance, Alexy
