Config tests fail for Lenovo ThinkPad Y570, x server won't start

It fails to automatically detect the laptop display, and I've tried both CRT-0 and DFP-0 to no avail. Xorg.8.log suggests that's the culprit:

The Lenovo Y470 and Y570 are not supported by the nvidia driver due to Lenovo's crappy BIOS. See https://lists.launchpad.net/bumblebee/msg00070.html
