Fixed: Mute conflict with Essentials' Mute #1561

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Install Towny with Towny Chat
2. Install Essentials Chat
3. Type /mute PlayerName 60 -OR- /chmute ChannelName PlayerName - neither work.

What is the expected output? :
I want to use Essential's mute function to mute players because unlike
Townychat, the mute function allows me to set a time for the mute. For instance
/mute Player 60 -- mutes them for 60 seconds. Either add in a time limit for
mute or make it compatible with Essentials Chat.

What do you see instead? :
Towny Chat overrides essentials and gives an error when trying to use
essential's mute, forced to use towny. There appears to be no way of disabling
Towny Chat

What is your Towny version number? :
1.4.7-R0.1 Support: Towny 0.82.1.0

What is your TownyChat version number? :
Whatever comes with the above

What is your Bukkit version number? :
b2624

What operating system? :
Windows 7

likely be deleted and you will be asked to resubmit.

Correction to step 3. Towny's mute works, essentials doesn't.

Open townychat.jar in winrar and then open the plugin.yml inside of the .jar.

You can remove mute from the list of aliases for chmute.

I have removed this as a default alias in the dev build.
