Im trying to fish for the sniffer egg however im only getting fish and i got a single junk item

Is your water pool big enough for you to fish for treasures (see https://minecraft.wiki/w/Fishing#Items_obtainable)? Anyway, you have to fish a little longer... (1/(5% * 30%) = ~66.7 times)
