If the problem occurs when downloading a URL please provide the full verbose output as follows:
Restart youtube-dl-gui
Go to Options > Extra tab
Enable Debug youtube-dl
Go to Options > Advanced tab and Clear your log content
Try to download the URL
Copy the whole log content and insert it between the ``` part below
[06/14/18 08:43:21] WARNING: Failed to download m3u8 information: HTTP Error 404: Not Found
[06/14/18 08:43:21] ERROR: No video formats found; please report this issue on https://yt-dl.org/bug . Make sure you are using the latest version; type youtube-dl -U to update. Be sure to call youtube-dl with the --verbose flag and include its complete output.
What operating system do you use ? Windows 10 v1803 64-bit
List of actions to perform to reproduce the problem:
I opened youtube-dl, and after getting the failure checked the version (0.4) and checked for updates
Got successfully updated status
then placed an SBS OnDemand url in the top url box
then clicked on "add" button [default is selected]
then clicked on "Start" button -> No video got downloaded
instead, after pre-processing showed “error” & a dialog box saying "Downloads completed"
What is the expected behaviour ? Until today, these episodes downloaded correctly.
What happens instead ? After pre-procesing get "error" and "Download completed" dialog
Other users in our PC Users Group report the same issue with the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Corp) iView site as I am experiencing on the SBS OnDemand site.
