Tartube is a fork of youtube-dl-gui.

Tartube is still being actively developed so, if you have a feature request / bug report, and if you don't want to wait for work on youtube-dl-gui to resume, then you should consider opening an issue on the link above. I might be able to help you.

Thanks, downloaded it and testing it. Thank you for your devotion to this project. Which options I should choose in Download Options to download mp4 files in resolution [720p] (the best quality and the best sound quality)?

youtube-dl automatically downloads the best video and audio quality, unless you tell it to do something else.

So if you specify MP4, 720p resolution, you will still get the best audio quality.

I replaced youtube-dl-gui by Tartube and I'm very glad. Tartube still not mature enough but still better than youtube-dl-gui in many ways.

How to restore settings to default?

You can delete the settings.json file in Tartube's installation directory.
