Will not launch on iPhone 4 iOS 4.0.1: app attempts to launch but crashes.

Have you tried the r426 ?

What version are you using?

Okey I'm having same problem max.countryman. I downloaded the app from Cydia 
today but don't think it's the r426. So my question would now be, if Cydia 
doesn't have the latest release, where would I be able to dload the r426 from? 
By the way, the version in Cydia is v364.2-10.

Saurik offers a .deb which works at least on a iPhone 3GS with 4.0.1, but it 
should work on other modells too.
http://apt.saurik.com/debs/mobileterminal_364.3-12_iphoneos-arm.deb

Download it either with the Safari Download Manager on the iPhone or with your 
Mac/PC, then move it to /var/mobile and SSH into your iPhone using "ssh 
root@(iPhone-ip-adress)" the password should be alpine by default.
Type "cd /var/mobile", then "dpkg -i *.deb"
Respring, done^^

I confirm it works well on an iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.1) with r426.

Thanks for the fix. Do you know when it will become available directly in Cydia 
?

great to know this nasty bug has been fixed. you guys are awesome. next time 
plz update the mobileterminal cydia page asap to notify users it's broken on 
iOS x.xx . especially since this app is part of cydia's "root password how-to" 
- you'll probably save a lot of people from wasting hours figuring out whether 
their new jailbreak went somehow wrong or what's wrong anyhow...

@claudenobs There are two different versions of MobileTerminal right now. The 
orignial was written before Apple released the iPhone SDK. Another version of 
MobileTerminal is being worked on as well, and it is being ported to the iPhone 
SDK. That version has less features than the original, but works on 4.0. The 
Cydia package is maintained by saurik, and he said he will not upload the 
iPhone SDK version because of the removed features. As far as why his fix for 
the original version isn't up, I'm not sure.

@tmantheman256 What version of MobileTerminal did you install? If you got it 
straight from Cydia, it will not work. Read comment #3

@e.b-007 It sounds like you didn't copy the deb to the /var/mobile folder. Make 
sure you put it in there. If you still have problems, try specifying the entire 
filename, rather than *.deb. If there are spaces in the filename put quotes 
around the entire filename.
Example: "dpkg -i mobileterminal_364.3-12_iphoneos-arm.deb"

If you have errors with *.deb, it's likely you  have the .deb in another dir. 
Probably in /var/root ;)
