[Improvement] Add Connection File Name To Recently Used Tools On Start Page #1343

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. I create a connection file for each customer I work on. Each connection file will most likely have a Dev and Prod and sometimes UAT environment. On the Start page in the Recently Used Tools section I can see the tools and the environment, but don't know which customer environment was used. See the following screenshot:

grafik Every DEV environment here for every tool is for another customer, but it's not readable which is which.

Describe the solution you'd like Add the connection file name to the entry in the Recently Used Tools section, like this:

Use the same name that is used in the connection quick select in the bottom left of the XrmToolBox window:

Describe alternatives you've considered I have not considered any alternatives.

Additional context There is no further context to be had.

Hi @YoYoFreakCJ, ok, I should be able to add this.

I'm using one file per customer too but am always adding the name of the customer to the connection name so I never had this need popped up

Hi @MscrmTools, I downloaded the update and am now on 1.2024.9.69. I also saw and enabled the setting in the Start Page tab of the settings. However it doesn't seem to do anything at all. I also cleared the MRU list, restarted the XrmToolBox, connected to an environment and opened a tool, but still no connection file name in the list. Am I doing something wrong?

It works only for newly created MRU. Use a tool and you should see the expected content in the new MRU item
