Zotero 7 allows for differently named files to their attachment titles, and now recommends that these titles not be automatically set to the file name on disk. Instead, they suggest simple names based on the resource type (such as PDF) or to use this name to store details about the file (such as a version or where it came from). So, inside Zotero, you can see the attachments under an item with names like "PDF", or "EBook" or "PDF (preprint)", while the file name on disk is based on the filename format settings.
Can Attanger be updated to use Zotero's new standard for the attachment title when updating the filename? This would look like renaming new attachments to something simple like PDF, EBook, Webpage, Text, etc. while not changing existing attachment titles if users already renamed these simple titles.
I apologize if this is a duplicate of a similar ticket in another language.
