New blips appear as unread after wave reload. #238

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Create a new wave
2. Click on the wave digest and reload the wave.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: The root blip appears as read.
Actual: The blip is unread. Please note that it was rendered as 'read' before 
the wave reload.
