+1 same issue here, I do not have my secret words.

unibas: if you have your secret words, you can try the procedure at https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/a/49428 which is copied as follows:

Here are my notes on how to recover / rebuild / regenerate / extract the addresses and keys used by MultiBit HD:

Go to https://iancoleman.github.io/bip39/ In the field "BIP39 Mnemonic" fill in your 12 wallet generation words No password Coin: Bitcoin Under Derivation Path, select the BIP32 tab Derivation path (copy paste this): m/0'/0 Your addresses are now displayed at the end of the page. Happiness ;)

Be careful to ensure your web browser is fully offline after you load the page, but before you enter your secret words.

Using this private key, you can paste it into a new wallet eg Electrum to almost instantly get your wallet back. Now you are able to craft a Replace-by-Fee raw packet that you sign and then transmit using a tx service.

How I wish for a right click > Cancel tx.. or better still right click > Increase fee...

This option that you described I tried it does not fit the whole wallet reloads everything is updated (I have a secret phrase for this) but this fucking transaction hangs and that it's interesting "the time of its sending" is transferred as if on the day of synchronization and restore of the purse and it turns out again Wait a week to see the result. I will remind you that the transaction was sent for the first time on 05/19/2017

Im having the exact same issue with my multibit Hd wallet. @binary64 I do have my words and reading your answer was incredibly relieving to read, knowing that there is a way. An extremely complicated way it seems!

The last part of what you wrote is where I have questions:

Be careful to ensure your web browser is fully offline after you load the page, but before you enter your secret words.

So I would put my computer on airplane mode as I enter my words? Then put it back online and press enter?

Using this private key, you can paste it into a new wallet eg Electrum to almost instantly get your wallet back. Now you are able to craft a Replace-by-Fee raw packet that you sign and then transmit using a tx service.

It seems that you are saying that I can take my secret words from a multibit wallet and use them to create a new wallet with example Electrum? Is that right?

How I wish for a right click > Cancel tx.. or better still right click > Increase fee... That seems like something Ill understand when I get there. As I recreate my wallet, I can see the pending transactions and choose to increase the fees to have them go through instantly?

Fiew! lost of technicalities. THank you so much for being there, helping the community.

All the best

Load the webpage, turn on airplane mode, input your words, then reboot the machine or something. It's just to stop the webpage from reporting your secrets to the server (it doesn't, but who knows?)

Did you ever spend money in Multibit (before these stuck transactions)? If so, you will need to do more steps to obtain all your coins. Basically what I did at this stage was completely map all my money, using any blockchain explorer.

So the basic steps are:

  1. Move your wallet to Electrum, make sure you see all your coins and tx's.
  2. Now increase the fee for the stuck tx's - first try right clicking the tx in Electrum and Increase Fee. If that option isn't available, you then have 3 choices: a. Just wait and some day they should confirm b. Manual RBF (complicated - multiple steps and 2+ week delay) c. Manual CPFP (more expensive - maybe $6 in fees)

Oh one more idea is to use https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ but it's a pain. I had to try submitting about 50 times over 5 days in order to get 1 accepted for acceleration.

Furthermore, if you have a Chinese credit card or Alipay, or know someone who does, you could also use https://pushtx.btc.com/

If you're quick, it just accepted 3 of my tx's in a row! on ViaBTC.

Binary64... HELP I had the same issue. Can you help..

1) Where & how do I install Electrum? 2) how do I transfer my Multibit wallet to Electrum? The rest I will try from your notes above.

Thanks for your help in advance

KeepKey support is currently recommending if you are recovering to a different wallet:

Please recover your wallet with using Breadwallet or Simple Bitcoin wallet. They are both mobile wallets that work great with Multibit wallet word recovery. Breadwallet (https://breadwallet.com/) is available on App store and simple bitcoin wallet (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.btcontract.wallet&hl=en) is for Android.

We are working on other solutions for this issue and will advise when they are available.
