I really need this fixed ASAP

Have exactly the same issue. 2 incoming txs failed in multibit to add to my balance. The total is just sitting up top showing ' + unconfirmed '

Both have 30+ confirmations.

eLohith commented 8 years ago

Mine is worse The whole balance is in unconfirmed balance

pshawman commented 8 years ago

That is my whole balance too currently. Luckily I didn't load up all my BTC in there this morning. Fucking annoying. You heard anything else about it?

Do note that in my case i've both closed and re-opened the wallet multiple times as well as repaired twice without success.

as of now I just installed bread wallet on my iphone and typed in the server seed its synchronizing and is at 43.5%

pshawman commented 8 years ago

That's a way to get them out yeah. Mine aren't critically needed right now. I'd rather persist and ensure this is fixed right. Nice job!

and the third repair worked...

eLohith commented 8 years ago

I am repairing it for the 5th time now But its taking more time than usual now

pshawman commented 8 years ago

And its doing it again.

pshawman commented 8 years ago

Seems that if you close and re-open MultibitHD something fks up. I had my balance in my wallet now problems. The send screen locks up as it does all the time, I close and re-open multibit. No pin required, and my balance is again showing as unconfirmed. Repairing wallet again now.

eLohith commented 8 years ago

Glad I loaded the wallet on Bread Wallet

pshawman commented 8 years ago

Seems i'll have to move back to the older version. This is fucking retarded. Take it easy mate.

eLohith commented 8 years ago

I already did uninstall new version and installed older version It didn't work either

You can use Lighthouse (http://www.vinumeris.com/lighthouse) which uses the same wallet words as MultiBit HD and 'clone' your wallet in that if you want to access your bitcoin.

Can you post the transaction ids of the problematic transactions please ? This will be the first transaction in your wallet after which you started having problems.

There are a couple of unusual things I can see about those tx in that the 2BTC tx:

1) It has very low fees: 0.0009922 BTC for a 9329 bytes tx. This is 1 satoshi per byte. If you look at https://bitcoinfees.21.co you'll see a typical fee now is 30 satoshi per byte.

That might affect propagation but once it is in a block it should confirm as normal (as it is in a block).

2) It is consolidating quite dusty inputs e.g.

18BGczSAXBp9ZxXcdWdTkfwfPMGwEDkxnD (0.0000154 BTC - Output)

That is 1540 satoshi. The dust level was reduced in a recent Bitcoin Core update from IIRC 4000ish satoshi to 400ish satoshi. I am not 100% sure but I think that means that some nodes would think that tx is OK and some wouldn't.

Again, once it is in a block it shouldn't matter but it's hard to be definitive.

Have any one come up with solution?

aiaf commented 6 years ago

Solved by recreating the wallet from seed in Electrum.
