contains #23 commits, fixes #33.

i tried to keep the styling as much of the same as possible. the most major change is the menu, which is very plain at the moment (needs colors and icons).

Can we make the font consistent across all pages? I'm getting Helvetica for the about page and the home page headline but Times New Roman everywhere else.

Also the navbar links are placed to the very right and left of the screen, is there a way to align it with the
