Like this, you see (from this commit https://github.com/Murmele/Gittyup/commit/25cec28316d7e512443f9c0bdd27b714296969dc ) that you can see (on github web) the diff of files with 2 columns (left for old, right for new), I'd like to see this as well on the git client

I hope now it's all clear

Any news on this topic, maybe an estimated release?

Murmele commented 1 year ago

This is a big feature, currently we are not able to set a target release for it

alainm commented 1 year ago

Is any work-around it? like configuring an external diff (like kdif3) with easy access?

Murmele commented 1 year ago

@alainm you can use an external diff, just right click on a file an external diff

systemoperator commented 1 year ago

This feature I am missing most.

Mind the details. :open_mouth:

Just found out this program exists because I was looking for a git client for Linux. The current unified diff and staging is so comfortable to use. kudos for all involved. 🥇. I believe it'll definitely will be even better with side-by-side diff.
