6 years ago This is also an issue for the station di.fm, was experiencing the issue with deadbeef, decided to give mpd a try, also has the issue.
Either song is played too slow compared to previous, or too fast and causes little blips as it runs out of audio.
It would be nice if MPD could support HTTP audio streams that change bitrate regularly. Right now a good example of this is http://cc6500.angoule.me:8000/live but there are surely others.
This was a long-term feature request on the old bug tracker, just wanted to add it here so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle.
