Saved Course Outline Redesign #372

Can we provide more graphic buttons for the Saved Course Outline?

here is a suggestion, but we do have to watch out for performance issues on large course outlines

I think it is you. @calliemcclay can provide you any graphics work, if it is needed.

Ok, thanks. Yes, any graphics, I'll need the graphics provided in a size very similar to what is required please.

Hi - I have placed three of the images in the saved course outline views on a test page. Please login, then go to any saved course outline and add the following to the URL:

Current: https://mycaert.com/Teachers/course-outlines/custom-outline.asp?OutlineID=46004

Test page: add _bg, example highlighted: https://mycaert.com/Teachers/course-outlines/custom-outline_BG .asp?OutlineID=46004

I also see that you'd like me to add another entire column for lesson plans, is that correct? This may restructure the page quite a bit, so I want to confirm before proceeding.

Hi Blake, this is a good start! We would like the icons to have text next to it so it looks like a whole button, like I have pictured below. Let me know if you'd like me to send the buttons as well. We'd like to see this as a mock up before we continue with adding a column for the lesson plan.

Thanks Callie - I'll actually need the icons to look like that, so for example, could you create images like this: [image: image.png] [image: image.png] [image: image.png] [image: image.png] [image: image.png] Etc.? The above are just screenshots from your screenshot.

Probably 150x50 or so (that's a rough estimate).

Hi - I have made all of these changes. Unfortunately, after some research on the google classroom integration, it looks like that's a stock image from google that we can't change: https://developers.google.com/classroom/guides/sharebutton

I've put an example of your button but not sure it'll work right as is now.

Please review and let me know what you think and any changes. Please remember to login, then change the custom-outline URL to add custom-outline_BG.asp (as I pointed out in a prior email).

Hi - I have completed all of the your requests except for the google classroom logo. There is no way to overlay one over the other as the image specs/settings are all sent back in the google response when calling the share functionality.

Could you make a button like 'Maintain' or 'Assign' and have 'Share' in it instead? I can try to play it before the Google logo, although it'll likely have to be smaller than the assign and maintain buttons to fit all on one line.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Hi - I actually figured out a way for us to be able to use custom icons. I used one that you sent me a bit ago, please take a look and let me know what you think. If you'd like an updated icon, just let me know.
