mark ii never shuts down fan spinning

Describe the bug When we tell Mark II to shutdown, screen blanks but fan continuously runs and it is unclear when it is safe to remove power.

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. swipe down menu
2. tap shutdown
3. observe screen blank
4. unclear user feedback if shutdown is complete
5. fan spinning forever (waited 10mins)
6. then finally forced power off

Expected behavior UI feedback of shutdown sequence? fan shouldn't run forever
