Support for SuperDisc (SNES Playstation Prototype CD Format) #45

Can you support converting to SuperDisc instead of the usual ROM format? Not only for all of the supported mappers, but the to be announced Famicom Disk System mapper (or "mapper 20") as well.

Can it be done? More info can be found here: https://wiki.superfamicom.org/super-disc https://www.problemkaputt.de/fullsnes.htm (under "SNES Cart CDROM Drive")

Issue #30 is here as a reference.

Not happening.

Not enough RAM to load full games at once for some mappers. Mappers with smaller than 32KB PRG ROM banks must be copied multiple times to fill the 32KB bank. Indirect jump (opcode $6C) requires an entire 64KB bank (HiROM) to be emulated in v1.2 or later. But the device only offers 32KB banks (LoROM). Games using PRG RAM at range $6000-$7FFF won't be playable on this device because SRAM must be located in the same range on SNES.

Apart from the fds system,it would be cool to see the konami adaptor and karaoke adaptor also getting emulated ,but am afraid that emulating the karaoke adaptor will require a different approuch since it does require the microphone,so it involves a physical adaptor with a microphone attached to it to make it work, wich is probably not worth it since all karaoke games are based on japanese songs from the 80’s,

about that dumped snes playstation firmware,it would be cool if it will also work on the fxpack flashcard and that more games will be designed with the extra rom space in mind, just imagine those donkeykong country series containing cut scenes after completing each world or getting cut scenes after each fight in street fighter 2 or getting cut scenes after each level in the lion king & aladdin etc,,, that would be cool(as what already happened with zelda link. To the past), now off course if somebody could make an actual CD rom addon for the snes and patch all existing games with cut scenes, along with original games for it,that would be awesome, even if it is already 30 years too late, but still.
