Disable screen dimming still dimms the screen

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Set Disable screen dimming - true

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The screen still dims (but does not lock it), while it should stay on (full 
brightness)

Which Android device are you using?
LG Optimus One (P500)

What version of Android are you running?
2.3.5

What version of the Open GPS Tracker are you running?
Latest

Please provide any additional information below.
If the user checks this option he probably wants to be able to see the map, 
regardless of the power usage (maybe the device is docket in a car). The screen 
should not dim at all
