The MPI page could be improved in a couple of ways:

Provide advice on certain use cases where mvapich2 is more beneficial over openmpi
Document new module mvapich2-gdr, which includes optimised GPU to GPU communications

I'm not part of the documentation task force, but hopefully it's ok to contribute suggested modifications?

Happy to discuss or be given pointers, particularly if I've broken some style guidelines or submitted a pull request in a suboptimal way.

Hopefully @ptheywood can weigh in!

Contributions are always welcome, and no issues at all with the PR. I'll get it merged.
