My name is TJ and I have been the person who has pretty much coordinated (to my knowledge) the group buys for the belts on the printer. I'm running another one again as I have more free time than I would like to admit, so here we go. This time I am being up-front with you about everything that goes into a belt purchase for the group buy. I am copying and pasting everything that I wrote yesterday on the Infinity Printer's Forum for sake of not repeating myself and making sure to get the entire information there.
Message:
I wanted to thank everybody once again for participating in our group buys. I wanted to put this out there because I’m willing to do it again, with the current situation I have a large amount of free time on my hands and would be willing to set up another buy if anybody is interested.
I’m going to be completely transparent about everything just so you as a consumer know what your options are and how everything works for this.
So when you ask to participate in the group buy you add your name to the spreadsheet, that spreadsheet stays available usually for about a month or so and then once we get close to me closing it I reach out to everybody to make sure they are still in for the price of the belt.
Once that is confirmed I reach out to Scott over at Belt technologies and he helps me setup the invoice and I get the price per belt.
The price that I relay to you includes all of this in the amount:
Price for the belt given to me by belt technologies
2% CC fee charged by belt technologies
Shipping fee from belt technologies to me
Shipping materials fee for shipping the belts to you (20x20x20 box)
Shipping Fee for the belt from me to you
CC processing fee charged by the company I use for invoicing (2.9% + 0.30 flat fee)
That’s a lot and in my opinion, the way this works out the best for you is if you are local to me and you come and pick up the belt, that way there are no shipping materials necessary and gas is usually cheaper and shipping providers.
I’m in Essex county in Northern NJ. Again completely transparent also, I’m an 18-year-old senior in High School, but you can trust me as I have done similar things to this numerous times.
If you have any questions about this, or interested in me setting up another group buy, you can reply to me down below. You can shoot me an email at ntwyoutube@yahoo.com (I usually reply pretty quickly and if not within 24 hours), or send me a message through the issues section on the Github that is located there too.
To note also, I am building my squire in a series of live-streams on my YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/ntw3d. If you ever want to talk there I usually do a stream once every other week or so, we can talk about belts there.
Again I do these belt purchases to help you guys out a little bit, I usually add about $20 onto each belt purchase because coordinating the purchase of these takes a lot of work, so I need to get a little something out of all of this. Unlike the first one I'm not actually participating in the buy.
If you are interested in joining the group buy please add your details to the google sheet and I will reach out to you later on down the road when I will begin to collect payments to make sure you are still willing to get this belt.
