steps after the audit:

• [x] remove easy to remove plugins

• [x] create issue for other plugins to be deleted

• [x] create issue for the plugins "to be discussed"

• [x] create issue for the plugins which could be replaced by code in the theme

Wow, great list.

I can't edit the excel.

There are some plugins that are most likely simple eg. comment notification just to author -> that most likely can be done without plugin.

And the WP SMTP Mail - I would like to pitch this plugin for the relaunch: https://github.com/wordplate/mail#readme It is from the wordplate people. The SMTP-Settings are put in the .env-File (a somewhat more powerful wp-config). This is more save than put such data in the DB, I imagine it will most likely be faster and more slick. Also no ads, I guess.

Yes - it is only my point of view in the list. I will open several issues with this plugins - and you can of course comment there or in the file. We should make it work that you can edit it.... (with excel on the desktop it should work. Do you have it installed?)

I don't have excel on the desktop - I guess that would also cost extra?! I guess we agreed on me not needing the offline programs (I also use my existing office tools just like twice a month or so)

OK, just start editing it. It should make a copy without the functions not working with the "browser excel". We will see which functions are switched off than.
