I'm not sure which one was originally used with the coffee script, but I'd assume any coffee maker with smart home integration would be pretty easy to get into.
I recommend the Mr. Coffee Smart Coffeemaker.
Which one is the best? Preferably running Linux and is easy to telnet into.

I looked a the PDF specs on all the coffee makers they had and none had any documentation about them having network connectivity.
amazon appears to have a coffee maker that is wifi enabled, but it appears to be controlled by a smartphone app.
I'm sure a skilled enough developer with experienced with dumping firmware can probably find a way to pop a shell on it though since it's IOT and all.
