I'm frustrated when I can't do things because I was logged in with the aerie_viewer role by default. My first reaction is that there's a bug or configuration problem. Even worse, #1312 can happen. Even worse, it can happen to an important customer, and they get angry like I am right now and give up on Aerie.

I want to be given the highest-permission role attainable to me when I log into an Aerie server. I suppose that defaulting to aerie_viewer was an intended design choice. I strongly disagree with this decision.
