10-March-2023: Katrina Virts: "We have our first request for a WAG for a 2022 solution. The Weather & Atmospheric Dynamics team has prioritized the merged PBL product number 1, but there may be an additional component involving PBL height. Gerald would like us to get a WAG from JPL on how much adding that component would cost. Who should handle the communication with potential implementation teams on costing information?"

Katrina Virts :cherry_blossom: 4:54 PM I've received the following email from a Program Scientist in response to a request for a ROM for a potential solution:

I am very sorry – I have no time to do this, much less by Friday, and much less with the details requested (with one week’s >time!). I would not know where to start to get those numbers and don’t know who I can reach out to. I am sure you are well >aware of the additional requirements we’ve been asked to complete, as per our ESD leadership, in a very (very) compressed >time frame. I will not be able to provide you with this information – I thought this was something the SNWG (who has >resources) would be doing? We’ve never been asked to do this in the past, not sure why you’re asking us now, when our calendars at HQ are already overflowing.

So far no Program Scientist has provided a ROM; this one gave pushback, and others have just pointed us to SMEs. (edited)
